Spend just 3 minutes each week of leisure time now.
Save months or years of problem-filled time later.
Copy the following letter and send it to Senator Dick Durbin and the two U.S. senators for your state. I keep a version that I send them weekly. I can almost guarantee you positive change will occur if only a few hundred people do the same. It only takes about three minutes after you've done it once since your browser will auto-populate the data. Links to email senators are also provided under the letter. Be sure to write to Senator Durbin, who is the chairman for the Senate Judiciary Committee. So, you should write three senators total unless you live in Illinois!
Dear Senator [name]:
I will be brief with this letter. Along with thousands or perhaps millions of other Americans, I am tired of two sets of rules in our judicial system. Something has got to be done to stop judges from completely disregarding the rule of law, the Code of Judicial Conduct, and the U.S. Constitution. This once great nation was created by people who risked not only their lives, but also invited the torturous death imposed under any treasonous acts to the Crown. The fact that individuals in power have desecrated what these brilliant and courageous men instituted is nothing short of abominable.
Leadership has become complacent with (or complicit in) the misconduct and outright crime committed by judges and other judicial actors across the country. When the rogues in black robes are allowed to do as they please, the cost to society is enormous. They must stop treating rules and laws as mere suggestions when those rules and laws negatively impact them or their friends.
[I have been/Someone close to me has been] victimized because of nefarious—if not outright criminal—activity that has been perpetrated against [me/that person] by an out-of-control judiciary, and I am not too happy about it. Frankly, I'm furious! I more than welcome the opportunity to discuss this top problem plaguing our republic. Thank you in advance for your attention to this most serious matter.
Very Best Regards,
[your name]
